[Moon-Net] Moon-net Digest, TS-2000x problem

I have a TS-2000x (2003) with USB signalink.
I had a simular problem, but only on 23cm. It turned out the one of the
driver voltages on the 23cm PA module was wrong (only around 6 Volts and
should be 8 Volts). Design flaw!
I put in a voltage regulator with the correct voltage of 8 Volts (LM7808)
and now all is fine now.
This may not be your problem, but TS-2000x rigs made before 2006 had this
error I am told.
Here is a link for the mod.

I have never used a TS2000 so what I am going to
say may not apply. The Elecraft K3 will manifest
similar behavior if insufficient audio is
supplied. The internal DSP adjusts audio gain so
that full modulation results in data
modes. Audio level is set differently in the K3
than other brands, so this may not apply. But
check the audio set up procedures for the TS2000
to be sure its at the proper level.

Most of the newer radios have sophisticated ckts
especially if they convert to digital processing. Just a wild guess.

Also wonder if there is any dynamic gain ckts in
the Signal-Link? But if audio level looks good
at the output of the Signal-Link then it suggests
its a problem in the TS2000. One other thing to
check is if you have the radio in the correct configuration for digital

Last call before it goes on ebay ....

I have a used M-Audio Quad USB audio interface suitable for an IQ+ for sale
(boxed / used) ? works with real W10 drivers

Plus an SGIP1 PCB ? this is the sig gen / pulse gen for the Linrad set up ?
bare PCB/filter combo

If interested feel free to email me
