6:20 a.m.
This weekend I operated 6cm using just 16 Watts to a 1.9m PF dish with an
SM6FHZ septum feed (kindly loaned to me by G3LTF) On RX, a single stage
0.9dB LNA based on a "Franco" LNB board. See RSGB RadCom "GHz Bands"
column
July 2014 for details.
I had 7.5dB sun noise and 0,25dB Moon noise.
On CW I worked OK1KIR, HB9Q and DF3RU. "Gotaways" on CW were OK1CA, OF2DG,
ES5PC, PY2BS all identified calling CQ. I need more power!
On JT4F I worked HB9Q, OK1KIR, OK1CA UA3PTW, OZ1LPR and PY2BS.
A good start to the 6cm project at G4BAO. Watch this space, more power
planned!

Last weekend i was QRV on 3 different bands and worked:
18-8 on 3cm: OK2AQ and F1PYR
19-8 on 3cm: F1PYR, SP/OK5EME # and DF1SR #
20-8 on 3cm: UR5LX and DB6NT
On Saturday i measured 2.5dB Moonnoise on 3cm !
3.7m Andrew Solid dish.
20-8 on 13cm: IK5QLO
20-8 on 23cm: KNØWS # state Nebraska
On Friday and Saturday I will be QRV on 9 and 6cm for the Goonhilly GHY6 operation.
Good luck to Brian G4NNS and the team. Hope there will be some good activity.

First i would like to thank the GB6GHY group and the DKØSB group for the great show !!
These kind of activities gives a nice boost .... although i expected more OM's to be
on.
Probably it was due to the low declination?
Signals were very strong and both BIG DISH stations had little libration fading.
This is because they illuminate just a small part of the moon. Very nice to see on the
waterfall.
With only 25% moonwindow on my side i already hrd DKØSB echo-testing !

Since last week i am QRV again on 2m off the moon. Made my last 2m EME QSO 10 years ago
!!
It was great to meet old and new friends ! 17 QSOs and 11 intials.
Wkd Dmitrij UA3PTW on 5 different bands now ;-)
At this moment i have a single M2 18XXX Horizontal-yagi with automatic tracking.
Worked in Digital: HB9Q, UA3PTW #, PA9RX #, LZ1DP, LZ2FO #, IK1UWL, I3MEK #, DL6SH #,
DL8II #,
LA6TPA #, I2FAK, OH1JJ #, LA8KV #, F4DJK #, EA5CJ, S52LM and RX3A #
I was called Digitial by BX4AP but we did not complete
Heard CW: I2FAK and OK1DIX Called both but due to QRM NC
Unfortunately my noisefloor is quite high, so i am having problems on receive !!
Many stations hrd me but it was a one way show, sri.
I was also QRV on 2320/2304Mhz
Worked: KD3UY # and WA3RGQ # both X-band and SP3XBO
Thanks for the nice QSOs and hope to improve my RX on 2m?

moved to EA9. I am right now in QTH of well known Jorge EA9LZ, which kindly
offered perfect service, his QTH, licensed callsign etc. Only one thing is
not possible fix here, 3400 MHz. We will be QRV according plan. Today 13cm,
follow 70, 23, 3, 6. More details on HB9Q. Sorry for information delay, I
was without data in CN.

New subject: Beware while working on your antenna!!
Some EME friends asked me why i was not QRV lately.
Well ..... the day before the big storm on the 18th of January i fall of a ladder while
tightening a steel cable of my 3.7m solid Andrew dish.
Radial head and capitellum fractures of the elbow. Surgery was needed and was in hospital
for 2 days.
For the time being my dish is still in “stormpositon”
Recovery is going well and i will be back at the end of March.
Moonbouncers never give up!!

Jac, so sorry! Heal soon! Back in 2014 I fell from a ladder just after
adjusting VHF/UHF antennas on rooftop mast, broke my left wrist and smashed
out one of my front teeth. Wrist healed OK (in a cast for 7 weeks, then
two months of therapy) and I had to have oral surgery on my mouth followed
by a tooth implant. Not a fun time!
