Hi Les
Glad that fixed it. I'm no MAP65 expert but my understanding is that if Xpol is
checked MAP65 is looking for two sets of I and Q quadrature signals. The FunCube (in all
its versions) can only provide a singe set of I+Q signals so if you ask it to do Xpol, it
can't and it generates and error from the AudioPort DLL file that does the signal
processing. Like the FunCube itself, if it's used with SDR software like SDRplayer and
HDSDR can only generate a single I and a single Q signal. As long as MAP65 is getting I+Q
audio at the correct sampling rate (90kHz), it should be happy, whatever that signal is
coming from.

Thank you Bob,
You are correct, I had "Xpol" checked as its last use was with my 2M Station.
Now Map-65 works with the SDRplay and HDSDR, as well as with the FunCube PP+.

Hi Les
Do you have "xpol" unchecked in the Setup->Station window?
I'm not that familiar with MAP65 (I just use it and it usually works), but I know it
can get confused with adaptive polarization. The Funcube is single channel and therefore
cannot to any adaptive polarization stuff. It gets upset if you check the xpol box.
Port Audio is a DLL I think that's only used with MAP65. I'm guessing it's
something to do with adaptive polarization, but that's just a guess. I don't think
it's used for audio processing in WSJTX.
Let me know if this works.

Hi Bob,
I can only get Map-65 3.0 to work with my FDP+ when using Linrad ( which I dont want to
use). For what ever reason it gives me a port audio failure ( when using the direct
mode with the MME format) and using FCHID 2.0.
So frustrating.

Hi Les
Map65 should work with the FunCube PP dongle without any additional software. Map65 have
native support for (the output from) the FCDP+. MAP65 may(?) have frequency control for
the original FCD, but I think it may just bring up the external control package (which
doesn't work with the FDDPP anyway). Frequency control is done by external FCDP+
control software (
http://www.funcubedongle.com/MyImages/FCHid2.002.zip). That what I have
hooked up. Only works for JT65 and 60s mode of Q65 of course.
Almost anything can be done via Linrad if you can ever figure out how to configure
Linrad...every time I try to use it, it takes me hours to figure out how to use it again
or I give up. I've heard that SDR Console can be used. I've used the program,
which is very good, but I've never tried to get MAP65 to work with it.
Good Luck

Subject: [Moon-Net] IC-9700, PTRX-9700, Map-65
Hi all,
I added a PTRX-9700 Panadapter to My IC-9700 for use on 1296Mhz ( Single Pol). So far
have not been successful talking to Map-65 3.0 when used with a SDRPlay or my
Funcubedongle PP via Linrad or HDSDR. Just want to use it on RX. Has anyone else been
able to get Map 3.0 to work in such a configuration? And if so, provide some guidance?
