I remember when I took my amateur radio examination in the UK back in 1983 that there were some strong words about never discussing things of a political or religious nature. This has been relaxed of late but I have always kept religion and politics out of my hobby. Clearly the tone of this email is one of anger or frustration at some political level. The ARRL said that Z6 was OK for DXCC so Hermann and Uwe went there to give us all an opportunity to work a new DXCC which is sponsored by the ARRL. They were not being political at all but trying to have some fun. The fact is that many of us do not understand the political environment through ignorance (we do not have enough facts) and THAT is EXACTLY why we should not have political discussions in our hobby. That also extends to moon net in my opinion. So please take this issue up with the ARRL and the ITU and not us on here. The horse has bolted, many of us worked Z6 on 2m EME and until instructed otherwise it will remain in my DXCC list.
