I was active for the 6cm leg of the DUBUS - VK3UM Memorial EME Contest.
Saturday was too windy and it was difficult to keep my dish on the Moon, due
to backlash in my azimuth drive
My echoes were weak, and most reports were weaker than previously.
I thought something was wrong in my feedbox, but persevered with it.
Sunday was better, and in the days after the contest I was happy to have
made a few more QSO's

I have a new slew drive which I'm hoping to get on the dish soon - hopefully
that will cure the azimuth backlash issue.

Hi Joe and all,
just a report on installation of the above, WSJT-x 2.5.0 rc1 seamless as
usual.
MAP65 v3.0, I had trouble changing the IQ+ driver, and it wasn't until I
realised that libusb0 was distributed in many old folders around my
aging PC (been xp W7 and now W10 but still a solid quad i5) and I
removed all the unnecessary copies of it that zadig would change the
driver to libusbk. Sadly libusbk did not work for me and my IQ+ B
version, however a change to winusb as suggested did work OK. As I use
linrad on a separate PC and send 96000 to the main PC this worked as
well without alteration (on the original ASIO drivers) and UMC 404HD
sound device.
Unfortunately, on 2M eme there has been very little traffic, so I am
unable to offer much in the way of comparison reports between JT65 and
Q65, except to say I have had a complete Q65 QSO with reports both ways
of -35 with very little in the way of visual display.
As a suggestion, I think logger CQ announcements should include your
audio offset ie, CQ Q65 60 A 1200hz, then it is easy to see where the
QSO partner will appear ( or not appear if the signal is small hi hi).
Thanks for persevering with Map65, looking forward to v2.5 rc2

I am cleaning out items I won't use and have a new in box Lorex
color camera with IR night time vision for sale. I have used and
still use an identical one mounted on my cross boom to confirm
that I'm still on the moon from time to time. It also makes a
pretty good surveillance camera as well.
The power cord and 60 feet of cable are included plus I will
include a spare camera and lots more cable as well. $35 shipped is
all I'm asking.
If interested my email is nj2r(a)verizon.net.

Hello,
First of all I would like to thanks Joe and Bill for the replies.
However, I already followed step by step the recommendations on the start
guide but unfortunately I have issues.
I use Windows 10 latest updated 64 bit home edition.
IQ+ and MAP65
I replaced the old obsolete PE0FKO driver by libusbK driver and also WInUSB
driver using latest Zadig tool.
Or MAP65 v3 crashed at start (I need to unplug IQ+ to start again) or it
has no driving frequency effect.
I tried all possibilities (4 possibilities of replacement) without success.
I tried another USB port on computer but no change.
MAP65 v2.7 is ok with IQ+ with new driver but not with v3.
ASIO driver:
I carefully read the archive "[Moon-Net] No MAP65 anymore..." that is clear
with ASIO driver.
However the DMX 6Fire seems to be another issue.
I can choose any of the "WDM/KS" devices on my list but I have an error
message each time.
I do not have a global driver for the 4 channels (XPol).
For the moment I cannot go on with MAP65 v3.
I will try to start my first decodes with old MAP version and wait until I
found a solution.
Thanks for your help

Hi All,
WA6PY was QRV in DUBUS Contest on 6cm and QSO'd:
UA3PTW OK1CA OH1LRY G3LTF DB6NT 9A5AA DL7YC SA6BUN SM6FHZ G4NNS KL6M OK1KIR
ES5PC JF3HUC K2UYH VE6TA VE6BGT VK3NX PA3DZL OK1DFC G4CCH DF3RU SM6CKU
OZ1LPR.
I was called by 2 other stations, but mainly due to the higher interference
level than usual I wasn't able to copy callsigns.
Another factor is that when I call QRZ responding station should send only
his call, rather than repeating my callsign 4 to 5 times and at the end 3
times his call. Sometimes beginning of the transmission is stronger and
later signals gets weaker. Maybe this is due to the Moon tracking or PA gets
hot and power decreases.
I can't measure CS/GNG, MN or Sun noise on 6 cm due to the high interference
level.
Sometimes I'm getting high noise bursts 20dB above average making impossible
to copy even the strongest stations. This can last from few seconds to few
minutes.
High libration and close to the apogee didn't help to copy weaker signals.
This year ARRL EME Contest MW part will be during apogee and very high
libration 270 Hz at 10 GHz and 400-600 Hz on 24 GHz.
On 24 GHz even using digital modes will be very difficult.
In my opinion contest dates especially 24 and 10 GHz we should chose during
low libration time and not during apogee even on the cost of lower
Declination.

I just hooked up my IC-9700 to WSJT-X 2.5.0-RC1 and it works.
However, I have a 1296 transverter with 144MHz IF output and want to be able to select 23cm and NOT have the radio switch to 1296 as it is capable of doing.
So, I added a 23cm band with 1152MHz offset in “Settings->Frequencies->Station Information” in the hopes that it would override the radio capability and use the 144MHz band to talk to the transverter. That confuses WSJT-X quite a bit.
The display now is "18,446,744,072,701.671 875” and the band selector shows red “OOB” instead of 144.120.00 as shown on the radio.
Is there a way to select 23CM and use the IC-9700 in 144MHz
Yes, I could just set the radio to 144MHz, but I lose the ability to do proper doppler correction for 23cm.
