Just want to concur with Joe. I have been using Map-65 with an older
machine for years, with several other programs running in the background,
including Linrad, Trackbox, Eme systems and several browsers. My CPU never
goes over 36% utilization with decodes within a few seconds. I am running
an old AMD Athlon II, It was a Windows XP machine I have slowly upgraded
to Windows 10. Over time I also have switched to an SSD drive and added
8GB of memory.

Hi All.
My Map65 is set up for RX only on the moon with 4 x uwa12 xpol and Map65.
I saw I3MEK and F6APE on the waterfall fairly consistently.
I am looking right into the sun. My noise level is 6 to 7 db above the
level of dummy load at preamp input. I have Dimension 4 running and have
verified timing. I see no text at all decoded and was wondering what might
be wrong? Mode selected is JT65b. Noise increase at every stage is
credible. Still working on PTT and TX audio. I wish I had documented my
connections better when I tore down my shack to improve the shack desk.

I have been browsing again looking for as much info as I can get on those ADF5355 synthesizer boards and found a nice fairly updated PDF from DD1US. Link below. He mentions the downfalls of the boards as supplied and goes into decent detail on the things he did to make the touch screen version the best it can be. In the article he also mentions that Analog Devices has a drop in replacement for the ADD5355 in the newer ADF5356. It is supposed to have 6db less phase noise. I found it at Mouser but it isn't exactly cheap at $75. That is the only place I looked but for those out there that may have these and be looking for less Phase Noise, their may be the answer so you don't have to scrap what all you have already done with the 5355 version.
Also at the end of the article he mentions there is a new chip that may be out now, ADF4371 which covers all the way up to 32 GHz ! Mouser has these also at a heafty $236.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to adjust my rig for a first DL0SHF receipt which will then
allow me the first 3cm EME QSO.
But I always have unforeseen events in my tests !!
The last problem that I must overcome is with the FT857D when using CAT for
the doppler from WSJTX, the interface is not a problem, nor the
configuration, but each data transmission to the FT857 causes a small mute
in audio, of only 100 or maybe 150ms, every 1 second.
It is surely the frame at 4800bps of data reaching the FT857 ....
Does anyone use FT857 with WSJTX with a doppler as aggressive as the 10GHz
one?

Hi guys,
I was a bit surprised at the interest my post generated, it proves that the
building spirit is not dead. I thank all of you that replied and gave
suggestions. The interest generated encouraged me to put together a few

Hello everyone,
I have had several QSL claims returned from their senders or in some cases QSLs that are not arriving and are not returned to the senders.
Perform a management in my post office and indicate that the UNITED STATES and GERMANY among others, DOES NOT HAVE MAIL CONNECTIONS currently due to the pandemic.
I am sorry to receive this news, I recommend starting to make confirmations via Lotw or waiting for the world to normalize !!

WSJT-X 2.2.2 is a bug-fix release, mainly to incorporate the new RAC
section PE (Prince Edward Island) into the FT8/FT4/MSK144 Contest Mode
messages for ARRL Field Day. Several minor fixes and additions are
described at the top of the Release Notes here:

I am replacing my broken 12 elements lfa for 144 for 2x YU1CF
PA144-XPOL-16-4.5B. My idea is to use a double receiver for RX and to do
tx circularly. This is my first experiment with this technology, so I'm
still a newbie to this...
I understand that the length of both (horizontal and vertical) coax
cables to the shack but also between Power Divider and both antennas
must be the same. This could be done in several ways:
1. equal length in measured centimeters
2. a multiple of a 2 / wave * velocity ratio coax
3. a multiple of a 4 / wave * velocity ratio coax
Which is the best and why?
And if option 2 or 3 can I measure this with my mfj259b mode advance>
Distance to fault?
