Hello Dick,
it is much more safer to use classic hybrid power combiner with a standard dummy load instead of Wilkinson with ungrounded ballancing load. A sensor on the load can immediately shut down both SSPAs through quite simple circuitry.
We otherwise confirm the same as regards too thin lines not only on DC supply, but also on the output lines, esp. from combiner to output N connector. BTW, it was already mentioned by several guys, but probably no one modify that in advance, hi....
HNY free of such repairs !

Hello all,
Fortunately my repair job on the second EME PA module today was successful. I have the full 500W again!
For those that suffer trouble with the otherwise much appreciated PE1RKI amps, I have an important advice. In my case on two occasions the thin power feed line on the PCB two either of the two FET’s burned, as they are simply too thin. If one PCB trace fails and hence the supply to the FET, there will be misbalance in the Wilkinson combiner resulting in the eventual death of both FET’s…
Replace the two lines with 1mm silver wire or alike and your PA will be more failsafe...
I am looking forward to 2018 with full power again and will be active tonight after the New Year’s party J
Making use of the opportunity to wish you all a very good 2018!
Best 73, Dick PA2DW

Hi All,
Currently using a 10 Year old PC running WIndows 10 Home with an EMU1616
Sound card to the the IQ+, running Linrad and Map-65. I have upgraded
the machine over time with a faster processor, SSD, Graphics card, etc but
its really time to get a new modern computer and to stop fighting with
incompatible drivers for Windows and system crashes. Seems like I spend
more time keeping the computer functioning then being on the air. But to
get a modern Computer we are back to the sound card issue.
I know Alex is working on a USB based sound card ( hopefully) that would be
compatible with the IQ+ but until then is there anything new and affordable
that people are using with the IQ+ and a more modern computer or Laptop?
73s and Happy New Year to All .

Hello Mooners,
I just uploaded the latest version of the EME active stations for 432Mhz and up on my website. It also includes the SK-honor list.
Wishing you all a healthy and dx-ing 2018.
Br.jan PAoPLY
I'm curious how you run them both at the same time if using the same
soundcard since they require different sampling rates.

EME'ers,
I will be QRV 23cm again tonight (00:00z). Condx are very good for me
with the high inclination and moon perigee. I have worked stations as
small as 2.4M and 150w.
My station is 3M / 150W / Linear Polarization / WA2ODO preamp. I
hear very well - so I will see you. Since 4NOV17 - I have 24
Initials / WAS 14 / DXCC 11.
I should have completed a few more QSOs but I have missed a few as a
learn techniques for setting up doppler compensation. With the help
of K5DOG, I think I have cracked the code. :)
I know that my current FN20 moon windows is very late at night in
Europe. Hope to see you on the moon 23cm. Skeds are welcome.
Currently, I have no view to JA/VK. Maybe a small window to ZL.

Hello folks,
so far I have completed QSO's with HB9Q, SM6CKU and G3LTF in CW and SSB. I
would be more than happy, if I could encourage some more of you guys capable
of 6cm to come on the band with the chance to work a new initial
:-))
I will be QRV 6cm the next 6 days, available nearly all around the clock, so
if you like to try, just drop me an email.
73, Michael
