I forgot to list a few stations. YT3N, DL2LAH, G4SWX and KH7Y. KH7Y, Fred,
was a new state for me and Delaware was a new state for him. 73 Paul, wa3qpx
A lot of activity. Map 65 IQ Messages screen was filled making it
difficult to fine a clear frequency Saturday. It looked more like a 20m
contest. Posting of frequency and call was a big help to those withourt

Hello Paul, Using SDR IQ unit by RF SPACE and MAP 65 IQ. This gets to be a
bit confusing. There are several sdr iq capable units. SDR IQ and SDR IQ +
both are brand names by different companies. The SDR IQ runs on a
sample rate of 9568 or thereabouts and is not capable of adaptive
plolarization. MAP 65 IQ uses the unusual sample rate of 9568 which can
only be used with the SDR IQ and Perseus receivers. Map 65 has a sample
rate of 9600 which can be used with Flex and other receivers with 9600
sample rate. Map 65 can use either polarization adaptive or single.
I have gotten Map 65 to work with the Flex in
single polarization but it is necessary to use split since the rcv
frequency IF must be stationary for frequency calibration. With two rcv
converters two coax feeds and two preamps Flex is capable of adaptive
polarization since it can receive two frequencies on seperate antennas at
the same time. I have not done it.
The question I have about adaptive
polarization is noise. Noise is usualy V or H. Can we have adaptive
noise?Clear as mud eh? gl Paul, wa3qpx

Hello Folks
The currency in the UK is the Pound Sterling. We are NOT in the Euro zone. We advise delegates and their partners to bring some cash as the nearest cash machine is a ten minute walk from the conference centre and you will find it more convenient to use cash for the flea market and small purchases at the bar and restaurant .
The centre is not a hotel so it is NOT possible to set up an account and pay your bar and restaurant bill by credit card at the end of the conference.
Away from the conference centre partners will of course be able to use their credit cards for shopping etc. (Sorry we can't stop them from doing that Hi).

Hello all. I have a 3 KV power supply for sale. VERY HEAVY Magnetronics 240-volt transformer, 3.5 KV meter, mechanical clock/timer( for filament protection? ), selectable 240/208 primary for higher voltage output, on a chassis with a 19 inch rack-mountable front panel. The first reply takes it at $50.00. I will take it to the Berryville Virginia Hamfest on August 5th where you can pick it up; if no takers then it will be offered for sale at the hamfest. I know someone out there needs this supply for their project! Pictures available, let me know.
