Hello Guys,
I am planning to assemble a simple 2 EME station here in PY7.
Now i am looking for some used items..
- 2 x coaxial relays;
- 144 Mhz brick amplifier with no more than 30 watts needed to drive it
(i.e.TE Systems 1452g or Mirage 1030g or 2530g);
- 144Mhz 2 ports power divider;
I plan to use at first attempt 2 x 11 (V) + 300w out + AR² preamp, Elecraft
XV144 as transverter for the main IF rig FT-2000.
I will have full elevation possibility using a CD45II for AZ and a linear
actuator for EZ both driven by an EA4TX interface (already ordered).
If anyone have any of these listed items (including the transverter),
please contact me in private.
The seller must send the items to an address in Miami, FL as well as accept
PayPal as payment method.

Dear friends,
I will be purchasing two MRFE6VP61K25H transistors soon. Is there a
source whose price is appreciably better than average?

Sorry mooners for using moon-net for a private answer but his adress failed here twice.
Hi Paul, I am sending a third time this answer, the first two did not pass.
Also decodes of Echo go in ALL.txt like JT65, I sent you my copy from that date, which I had saved for getting a graph of my ground gain.
As I told you, I use windows XP, so your problem is tied to windows 7. Cannot give you suggestions becuse I have never updated to it.
There has been something on moon-net, probably you must not put wsjt in Programs but directly in C.
Let me know when you get it working, 73, Giorgio

Russ,
That is dramatic improvement !!! I use a set of DCI 4 pole filters
before my IQ+. And while I don't have a spectrum analyzer, I did visually
see a nice improvement using the Map-65 band-scope.
A relatively inexpensive investment for a big improvement for those of us
in RF polluted areas.
Happy New Years to all.

Hi Curt and others who have been asking about filtering. I recently added a
filter to my 2 meter EME system and wanted to tell about it and show the
results. Click on this link to see all the info.

Hi,
I read a lot about septum feeds, but I'm not sure if I take the parameters
from Zdenek OK1DFC site 13cm septum is then all paramaters
right for any f/D? For example if I have f/d=0.33 what I must change or
recalculate and how to recalcute septum?
I found at G4NNS that septum feed is worse than linear polarisation is that
true?

Hi Group,
I was fooling around with wsjt 9.3 r2585 tonight, if you remember previous posts, I've had trouble getting echo mode to work, or rather to stop xmting. It seems something is wrong with my particular install.
Anyway, I believe I've been able to hear my own echos even though wsjt doesn't output anything. Please see:
http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/224958_4562101563810_329895905_n…
You can see in the waterfall a line at 1280, you can also see at 07:55 and 07:57 two blank spots where the line is gone, this is where I moved the antenna away from the moon, then back again.
Clearly in the output window of the wsjt console, there is no readings. Is this what I am supposed to get? How do I enable an actual reading to show up?
Thanks for looking,
Paul, kg7hf
GA List:
After my question regarding strong out of band signals and filtering,
many suggested I get an idea of what were levels at the preamp input.
So put the preamp in bypass and looked at the Shack end of the Rx
cable--about 40ft of LMR400.
We have a mass of FM broadcast from 88-108MHz that is very strong and
about 15 miles NE. With antennas aimed SEmax of -10dBmV at 108MHz.
This is all using the little Sencore SA1501 analyzer.
Very strong NOAA radio at 162.5 at -19dBmV
DTV starting at 174-179 and 186-191 at -12dBmV
But I think the worst is the paging/digital police, etc from 108 up to
and over 144. Strong carrier shows up at 143.7 -28dBmV with
intermittant activity peaks above and below...like 146.7 at -28dBV
THe carrier at 143.7 shows 50 over S-9 on the TS2000 .
I suspect there is not much I am gooing to be able to do with that. I
have tried to run the RF gain down somewhat on the Rx but no strong
results yet. Next time up tower, I will reduce the gain on the preamp
also to see if that will help some.
Also I see these "paging" bursts within the 144 band but have not
correlated those as an image from an out of band signal mixed with the
TV or FM stuff.
BTW, on the analyzer, the noise floor is indicating at -53dBmV and I see
evidence of a lot of TV hash when adding the video filter to the display.
Except for a few cases, I never see real "birdies" in the waterfall, but
a normal looking noise floor that is just really high--makes even strong
EME signals look like really weak ones---KB8RQ at -28 for instance.
Thanks
Curt

OK Bjorn. I can hear the beacon now at 0030 but it is still in the trees.
How much power do you have and your dish. I forgot.
At 0100 The moon will be out of the trees.

I am not 100% back yet.

Over on the Asterisk reflector (Linux repeater controller) people have
pretty much given up making RPI work with that application (full duplex
audio at modest sampling rates). It seems that the USB port cannot handle
the traffic.

Subject: [Moon-Net] Raspberry Pi mini Linux computer....Is anyone oth there
playing with one?
I was surprised with a lack of response from anyone trying to work with
these little /low cost Linux machines. A friend of mine received one on
Christmas Day and has WSJT loaded on it but is having trouble with a sound
card dongle in the usb port. Ill expect he may figure it out.. Jim K1mea
Sorry for the delay,
I wish you a merry Christmas and happy new year ,
and thanks for everything but especially for your patience .

Next year i hope to will active in 144 , 432 with new antenna system and WSJT
