"...for a constant aperture area, pathloss is also constant with frequency.
so if a 10 foot dish works at 1296, it will also work at 10 GHz, if you have
the same NF and power (which might be a problem)." Paul Wade W1GHZ
It is true if you have constant size dish on the first side and constant
gain (or isotropic) antenna on the second side. In case of the same dishes
on both sides (or if you check your own echo) it is improvement proportional
to square of frequency. If to move from 23cm to 3cm band your echo will be
64 times better. Really it is a bit worse because of signal spectrum
spreading, some atmosphere loss etc.

Hello All,
I may have a possibility for a 2.40m TRVO dish, and wonder if it's worth
the effort to try on 23cm and/or above with it.
My feeling is that it would be marginal on 23cms; and above 23cms the
efficiency would be too low?
23cms activity is very nice but i need a bigger dish i guess...
Just a note on the ZS-FR tropo qso mentionned in the NL. It was the
first between africa and reunion, and a record for ZS...and FR.
Longer paths have been worked on some other areas.

Hello to all
I have a lot of EME equipment for sale. That is the last chance to get a
high power amplifier from my side.
The reason is, I have a new hobby, I run marathons.
So I do not have much time for building equipment for ham radio (EME).
In the coming weeks I will sale a lot of equipments.
Please have a look on my homepage <http://www.oe9erc.com>

I will be interested to hear if we understand
Sigh, correctly. I think he was commenting that
too much we focus on the equipement and technical
capacities and forget the operator skills in the
"formula". This is probably more in evidence for
working the QRP station. I have some experience
as a 2m QRP station, so am well aware of
this. This is one reason for my trying to build
a little above the minimum station on
23cm. Making progress on the 4.9m dish. We will
eventially have close to 300w at the feedhorn. I
am guessing that we may be QRV by early November
with 60w. The sspa will come after hopefully in
not too much time (the 300w PA is a kit which will be delivered mid-October)).
So I hope to return the favor of many qso's with
QRO 2m stations by providing some 23cm contacts
with some of the 2.4m stations (hopefully).

Hi,
Sasha, must have the complete ship address,
need this for the shipping pricing,
will use FED-X to ship unit.
Suggest to also order the relay board??
If you can fix the email problem on your end be good to keep message off the
reflector.
Do not have the problem with RW1AW address so not sure what to do here.
Sorry to post on the reflector but direct it bounces.
Will try to see if what is suggested below works, I will try that fix here
later?
NEW IN THE PICC code 2.01.
You can down load and test the new Drztrack.zip program now and
see how that works in the new tracking program,
K2TXB (RUSS) has designed in the new released DzCom program.
The new code in the PICC version (2.01) has several new options in it.
The ABSOLUTE US DIGITAL encoders can now be programmed by the CT-2
controller board for (3) options
(1) ADDRESS setting 0 or 1, (2) count DIRECTION CW or CCW, (3) RESOLUTION
high or low.
Addition of INDEX/ZPULSE and that allows the INCREMENTAL encoders to be self
correcting and
they are close to being ease of use same as ABSOLUTE encoders keeping the
position auto correcting on power up
and normal operating position correcting by the INCREMENTAL encoders using
the INDEX/ZPULSE signal.
Additional changes will be on the web page.
RUSS is working on updating the web page and not finished with that yet.
Thank You,
tom W2DRZ

Very pleased to say that I just worked Hans OZ6OL with a nice signal from him, 539 here, doppler spreading is quite high but Hans is a very readable signal. Well Done!

I was very pleased today to QSO, LA9NEA, DL0SHF 599! and a new one for me, HB9GR with excellent SSB copy. At 0940 I had a QRZ exchange with a very weak station on 1296.020 who was testing, there was a K and a zero in the call but it was just too weak to copy.
The wx is good and I can be QRV tomorrow ( with limited window) on any band 70-9cm if anyone wants a sked or test, please email.
